How to Make Recovery Spaces more Inclusive

A piece I wrote about inclusivity and accessibility in recovery is now up. Here’s some important info about the reality of being a trans person seeking sobriety (rehabs are tricky), the importance of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ meetings, and a reminder that ADA compliance is only the beginning for disability justice in recovery spaces

“Making spaces safer and more accessible for marginalized communities means spaces are safer and more accessible for all of us. The ability for trans folks and people of color to be our authentic selves in the rooms gives everyone permission to be themselves, even outside of those categories.”
